TAKECHI & PARTNERS was established in July 2011 by Katsunori Takechi, Taichi Komuro and Masahiro Shimizu, attorneys-at-law formerly belonging to Kataoka & Kobayashi, with the mission of serving the needs of our clients in the most appropriate and prompt manner, with full appreciation of their points of view.

As society and the economic landscape become increasingly sophisticated and complex, so do the various transactions carried out by companies. This results in situations which call for the coordination of the interests of numerous related parties. In line with this trend, laws and regulations applicable to corporate activities also become increasingly complex.

With the ongoing major changes in the needs of our clients, their expectations of law firms, as well as environmental changes (such as the rapid increase in legal professionals due to the reform of the judicial system), the future role of law firms is about to change dramatically.

Against this background, we hope to serve the various needs of our clients in the most appropriate and prompt manner, with full appreciation of their points of view, by drawing from our previous court experience (e.g.,as a judge) and from previous involvement in the drawing up of various bills at the Ministry of Justice.
